Cette minorit\u00e9 se revendique \u00ab\u00a0queer\u00a0\u00bb, reprenant un mot jusque-l\u00e0 employ\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois contre et par les homosexuels mais g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement avec une acception n\u00e9gative\u00a0(<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>queer<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> = bizarre). Cette r\u00e9action venue de la base aura son prolongement dans le monde intellectuel, et sera reprise aussi par des radicaux qui en feront la base d\u2019un programme de subversion totale.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><b>De gay \u00e0 queer<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Dans la d\u00e9cennie soixante-dix, une minorit\u00e9 du mouvement gay et lesbien se dresse contre le rejet qu&rsquo;y subissent les \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9viants\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">N\u00e9e dans un milieu ouvrier pauvre, Dorothy Allison <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">explique que, m\u00eame parmi les lesbiennes, le fait que sa \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>sexualit\u00e9 soit construite au c\u0153ur du f\u00e9tichisme cuir, et autour des dynamiques butch\/fem, est largement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 avec un d\u00e9go\u00fbt ou une haine cat\u00e9gorique<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">.\u00a0\u00bb (toutes les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences dans \u00ab\u00a0Lectures\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 la fin du texte).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Ce qu\u2019elle qualifie de <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>sex radical<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> (ensuite appel\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0f\u00e9minisme pro-sexe\u00a0\u00bb) s\u2019oppose \u00e0 la censure de la pornographie.\u00a0Pour elle, \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>le mot queer signifie beaucoup plus que lesbienne. Depuis que j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019employer en 1980, j\u2019ai toujours voulu signifier que je ne suis pas seulement une lesbienne mais une lesbienne transgressive \u2013 fem, masochiste, aussi sexuellement agressive que les femmes que je recherche, et aussi pornographique dans mon imaginaire et mon activit\u00e9 sexuelle que l\u2019h\u00e9g\u00e9monie h\u00e9t\u00e9ro ne l\u2019a jamais cru<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Pat Califia (devenu depuis Patrick), entre autres praticienne du S\/M, d\u00e9clare : \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>Je m\u2019identifie plus fortement comme sado-masochiste que comme lesbienne.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> [&#8230;] <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>La plupart de mes partenaires sont des femmes, mais je ne me d\u00e9limite pas par le genre.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Lisa Duggan<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0n\u2019a pas la c\u00e9l\u00e9brit\u00e9 mondiale d\u2019une Judith Butler, probablement <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">parce que sa lutte contre la censure anti-pornographique \u2013 censure soutenue par une partie des f\u00e9ministes &#8211; la prive de respectabilit\u00e9. Elle est pourtant l\u2019une des fondatrices du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne \u00ab\u00a0queer\u00a0\u00bb. <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Lisa Duggan<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> constatait en 1991 les limites de la ligne \u00ab\u00a0lib\u00e9rale\u00a0\u00bb visant \u00e0 faire accepter les gays et lesbiennes comme minorit\u00e9 aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des Noirs et des femmes, avec droits \u00e9gaux \u00e0 ceux des autres citoyens. Mais elle refusait tout autant la constitution d&rsquo;un\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0ghetto\u00a0\u00bb b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant d\u2019ailleurs surtout aux lesbiennes et gays favoris\u00e9s et blancs. Aussi pr\u00f4nait-elle la construction d&rsquo;une \u00ab\u00a0communaut\u00e9 queer\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 partir des vrais marginaux sexuels, ceux et celles qui pratiquent sans entrave la circulation de leurs d\u00e9sirs. Cette position contredit l\u2019id\u00e9e du gay \u00ab\u00a0de naissance\u00a0\u00bb ou qui \u00ab\u00a0n\u2019y peut rien\u00a0\u00bb. Le queer permettrait la (dis)solution sociale par \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>partage d\u2019une dissidence des formes dominantes de sexe et de genre<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0\u00bb. A condition que leur h\u00e9t\u00e9rosexualit\u00e9 sorte des st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes, certains h\u00e9t\u00e9ros pourraient donc y participer\u00a0: on n\u2019est pas queer homo ou queer h\u00e9t\u00e9ro, seulement queer.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Ce qui serait rest\u00e9 un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne mineur va prendre de l\u2019ampleur avec l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de sida, et la mobilisation marqu\u00e9e en particulier par <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Act Up. Quand l\u2019organisation est fond\u00e9e aux Etats-Unis en 1987, son nom est significatif\u00a0: <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>to act up<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">, c\u2019est mal se conduire, ou de mani\u00e8re impr\u00e9vue, et dans <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>Aids Coalition To Unleash the Power<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">, il s\u2019agit de \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9cha\u00eener\u00a0\u00bb un pouvoir par les m\u00e9thodes d&rsquo;action directe. A partir de cette \u00e9poque, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>queer<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> fonctionne en opposition \u00e0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>gay<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">. Act Up ne se bornait pas \u00e0 militer pour la prise en charge par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des malades du sida, il renouait aussi avec l\u2019exigence de fluidit\u00e9 sexuelle des premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es apr\u00e8s Stonewall, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">mettant en cause le conformisme d\u2019un mouvement gay en cours d&rsquo;institutionnalisation. Minoritaires dans une minorit\u00e9, les queers l\u2019\u00e9taient, mais d\u2019une minorit\u00e9 tr\u00e8s active, qui a fortement transform\u00e9 l\u2019attitude de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tasunienne devant la crise du sida.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Voici ce qu\u2019en \u00e9criront bien plus tard, en 2014, des queers portugais, dans un pays <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">o\u00f9 jusqu\u2019en 1982\u00a0l\u2019homosexualit\u00e9 \u00e9tait criminalis\u00e9e:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>Nous d\u00e9finissons l\u2019\u00e9rotisme \u2013 ou la sensualit\u00e9 ou le d\u00e9sir ou la sexualit\u00e9 \u2013 comme tout ce qui fait appel \u00e0 l\u2019univers du toucher, du regard, et aux imaginaires qui y sont li\u00e9s. En clair, nous voulons que <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">queer<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i> soit le terme consacr\u00e9 pour d\u00e9signer tout ce qui pr\u00eate \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9rotisme un<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">e <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>dimension politique et qu\u2019il soit employ\u00e9 par celles et ceux qui appr\u00e9hendent l\u2019\u00e9rotisme comme une zone de guerre anticapitaliste et contre l\u2019\u00c9tat.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00bb<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>Une<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> zone\u00a0: la question porte sur d\u00e9limitation d&rsquo;un <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>espace<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> au c\u0153ur d&rsquo;un ensemble plus vaste.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><b>Nation queer<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Fond\u00e9 en 1990 comme groupe \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur d\u2019Act Up, Queer Nation s\u2019en s\u00e9pare rapidement pour se donner des objectifs plus larges que les campagnes sur le sida, comme l\u2019illustre un de ses principaux slogans\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>Nous sommes partout, nous voulons tout<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0\u00bb. Etre queer, c\u2019est lutter contre la discrimination, qu\u2019elle soit bas\u00e9e sur le genre, la race ou la classe. Mais comme une analyse de classe, et plus encore la participation \u00e0 une lutte de classe apparemment inexistante ou d\u00e9funte, semble impossible, le discours queer lui offre une fa\u00e7on de parler et de traiter de la division sociale tout en n\u2019accordant qu\u2019une importance mineure \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation du travail par le capital. Le fait essentiel, c\u2019est la domination. L\u2019activit\u00e9 queer opposant ceux qui acceptent les normes \u00e0 ceux qui les refusent (l&rsquo;ennemi c\u2019est le norm\u00e9, le normatif, l\u2019h\u00e9t\u00e9ro finalement), les membres de toutes les classes peuvent se joindre \u00e0 cette lutte. La politique queer consiste donc \u00e0 tirer parti de ce que partagent les minorit\u00e9s sexuelles avec les autres \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><i>damn\u00e9.e.s de la terre<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">\u00a0\u00bb, parmi lesquel(le)s se trouveraient notamment les personnes de couleur, les transgenres, les immigr\u00e9s, les femmes, les pauvres et les travailleurs sexuels. C\u2019est la recherche des cat\u00e9gories non seulement les plus opprim\u00e9es, mais aussi <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">celles qui infligeraient le moins d&rsquo;oppression\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">\u00e0 d\u2019autres, ce qui n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">e serait<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"> pas le cas des ouvriers qui <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">feraient <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">preuve de sexisme et de racisme, ou des gays et lesbiennes appartenant aux classes moyennes qui rejettent les trans. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">Mais \u00e0 quoi aboutit cette r\u00e9union des <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><i>plus<\/i><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">damn\u00e9s de la Terre\u00a0? La plupart des \u00ab\u00a0domin\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb sont indiff\u00e9rents voire hostiles \u00e0 ce pour quoi lutte le queer. S\u2019il n\u2019y a rien d\u2019universel en soi dans la lutte du salari\u00e9 contre son patron, il n\u2019y a rien non plus dans celle du minoritaire sexuel. Parce qu\u2019en elles couverait un besoin de libert\u00e9 d\u00fb \u00e0 la plus forte oppression qu&rsquo;elles subissent, un potentiel subversif \u00e9touff\u00e9, mais qui va se r\u00e9veiller sous l\u2019aiguillon de la minorit\u00e9 queer\u00a0? C&rsquo;est croire le d\u00e9sir toujours porteur de radicalit\u00e9, inint\u00e9grable, tout comme pensait l\u2019\u00eatre le mouvement ouvrier, lui qui se voulait une contre-soci\u00e9t\u00e9 susceptible de d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ger le capitalisme.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">Comme le militant gauchiste, l\u2019insurrectionnaliste queer annonce la prochaine r\u00e9union de masses en r\u00e9volte mais, en fait de convergence, il ne cesse de se d\u00e9marquer, notamment des \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><i>groupes anarchistes \u00e0 pr\u00e9dominance h\u00e9t\u00e9ro<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">\u00a0\u00bb b\u00e2tisseurs d\u2019\u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><i>h\u00e9t\u00e9ro-barricades\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\">\u00bb. D\u2019avoir cru radicalisable ce qui ne peut l\u2019\u00eatre, il est forc\u00e9 d\u2019en rajouter dans l\u2019exhortation, la surench\u00e8re et l\u2019exc\u00e8s verbal.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><b>Une identit\u00e9 anti-identitaire<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Se vouloir \u00ab\u00a0queer\u00a0\u00bb, c\u2019est exprimer une exigence de libert\u00e9 au-del\u00e0 de\u00a0l\u2019affirmation \u00ab\u00a0lesbienne \u00bb ou \u00ab gay\u00a0\u00bb. Par dissidence contre les formes sexuelles dominantes, mais aussi en r\u00e9action \u00e0 ce qui est devenue l\u2019int\u00e9gration sociale de la n\u00e9buleuse LGBT, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">une minorit\u00e9 s\u2019est d\u00e9finie comme queer puis s&rsquo;est voulue communaut\u00e9.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Mais un gay bien int\u00e9gr\u00e9 et un gay queer <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">n&rsquo;ont en commun, au mieux, qu&rsquo;une orientation sexuelle qui para\u00eet semblable\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0: cela ne suffit pas \u00e0 fonder une politique. Le queer \u2013 activiste comme universitaire \u2013 est donc conduit \u00e0 \u00e9largir le concept, \u00e0 une citoyennet\u00e9 r\u00e9nov\u00e9e pour les r\u00e9alistes, \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble des cat\u00e9gories domin\u00e9es pour les radicaux.
